Great news, long in the making!

We are sure that you'd agree that price can be a big deterrent for us Pedal Parents when we want to bring a new cargo or electric cargo bike into our family's life. Sometimes the price tag for the bike we need is just too much to pay all at once.

Well, we have exciting news

After a lot of work and a lot of research, we've finally secured a partnership with a good and trustworthy financial institution, Synchrony Financial and the fine folks at the Bicycle Collective (not actually an anarchist bike shop, they are a collective of shops which band together to lower costs on things, like financing for our customers) and are now able to offer what amounts to Zero Percent Interest Financing for bike and eassist purchases!

Now, fairness and accuracy is reeeeeeealy important in lending, so here is the skinny. Synchrony is not incentivized to rip you off or plan for you to fail to pay your loan, like a loan shark or a payday lender. G&O pays a little fee for the transaction, just like we do when you pay with a card, so the bank is taken care of in this deal. That, and the fact that they are an alright team of lenders, should help reassure you that Synchrony are good actors in this deal. Still, let us work to fully understand the loan, called the "Freedom to Ride" loan.

Basically, no interest accrues on the promo purchase if you pay it off within the promotional period of either 6 or 12 months. If you do not pay it off, interest will be assessed from the purchase date. Regular account terms apply to non-promotional purchases and, after promotion ends, to promotional balance. For new accounts, purchase APR is 29.99%; minimum interest charge is $2.

That's the thing! The interest you'd owe Synchrony if you failed to pay off the loan would be a big chunk of change, so make sure you pay off more than 1/12th of the total each month for a 12 month loan and you should be swell.
