Something that comes up a lot in Seattle in particular is about the gearing on the bikes. Will the bike have low enough gears to get you up Queen Anne? Fremont hill? Let’s do another little tech jargon topic related to gearing questions: gear range and gear ratio.
Whether you are a new or experienced home bike mechanic, fixing a flat tire on a Tern GSD S10 is a bit more complicated than many non-electric and non-cargo bikes.
We are so excited to announce our brand new web store: Carsick @ G&O
This is now the exclusive source for the famous Carsick Cargo Slingsets.
Sifting through all of the new jargon and technology while shopping for an e-bike can be daunting. Whether you are already familiar with old steel bike standards or you are entirely new to looking at bike specifications, modern bikes and especially higher-end bikes can bring a dizzying number of new terms. Let’s talk about one: thru-axles.
For years, for so many of us, the flexibility and convenience of the Carsick Designs cargo slingsets have been a key ingredient to the Seattle model of family biking! Carsick and G&O have always worked closely together on design and refinement of the slings, and we are excited for our new role as the sole distributor! Read more!
Coming this Fall, the new generation of the Tern HSD line up is going to be stronger, lighter, and smarter! Four new models will all come equipped with the Bosch Smart System (you can learn more about that here), a 545Wh battery, and a rear rack capable of carrying up to 176 lbs! Each bike clocks in under 60 lbs (without a battery and accessories). We’re also excited about the new colors, the Enviolo equipped S00 model, and the easy-access charge port on the top tube.
Have you heard Bosch has a new system out? It is called “The Smart System” and unlike previous releases of new Bosch products, it is entirely incompatible with the previous components, which will now be referred to as “System 2”. While I’m convalescing from my dislocated shoulder earlier this month, I one-handedly typed out some FAQs on the Smart System for you…
If you’re considering a step-through bike, the Medeo has a ton to offer.
From the sporty new Bosch Active Line Plus, to great colors, to everything you need from an urban bike: lights, fenders, action!
